  1. Subject: We do sacred work ...

We will be having a Memorial Service for the babies who were slain at Womancare this past week (and for who have died during the past week).
It will be at 7 p.m., Saturday, December 12th, in front of Womancare. Please come.

If you would like further proof of the spiritual darkness enveloping our country, watch a video from abortion center, Northland Planning Center, titled "Every day good women choose abortion". www.northlandfamilyplanning.com/nfpc/video-goodwomen.html

The viewer, presumably a woman considering abortion, is reassured that she a good person making a difficult decision. The spokeswoman says, "Hard choices do not make us bad people." This is true, but hard choices often lead to bad decisions. Enough bad decisions transform a good person into a bad person - the kind of person who abuses her or his children (Child abuse increase by 2300% since the 1960s), or exhibits road rage or spews profanities at little old ladies holding rosaries in front of abortion facilities. The abortionists, recognizing that many of their clients are conflicted about their "choice" to terminate their own offspring, try to sooth these mothers. "If you need help remembering that your are a good person, we are here for you. ... come and have a conversation with us."

Elsewhere on the website, we are told that the so-called "right to life" movement is what makes women feel badly about their abortion decisions, because it has a well-funded media campaign to convince us that "a woman has less worth than a fetus". I don't know about you but I don't get exposed to a whole lot of anti-abortion propaganda, outside of the internet (and only because I must be on every possible pro-life email list). One of the best media campaigns of which I am aware is Pinckney Pro Life's LIFEBoard campaign, in which high school students and others ask their church congregations to kick in a couple bucks. When they scrape together enough money, they rent a billboard, usually one of the 10ft by 22 ft ones because they are best value.

Then there is the abortion center's motto "We do sacred work that honors women and circle of life and death. When you come here, bring only Love"
So what kind of woman chooses abortion? "Women from every kind of background, every religion and belief, with every kind of life story, have abortions." If so many women, from so many different faiths, choose abortion, it must be a good thing, so goes the logic, sacred work that honors the circle of life and death. I wonder what the clients think of this motto, how much Love do they feel when they sit there in the waiting room until their turn on the death part of the circle.

What is amazing to me, after 36 years of this, affecting so many women (and their families and their significant others), abortion is still not "normal". Its proponents still try to disguise it as something else; its opponents, inspite of setback after setback, still persist in dredging it up as an issue; and the apathetic masses still avert their eyes when they walk passed Womancare.

I used to wonder why so few post-abortive women spoke out against abortion. Now I wonder, with over 45 million post abortive women, why even fewer speak out for abortion.

Please sign up for vigil hours on the vigil calendar (or call me).
Please come to the Memorial Services on Saturday evenings at 7 p.m. to honor the short lives of the aborted unborn and to grieve for their mothers.

    Sincerely,
